Start time (CDT): 03:00:00

End time (CDT): 04:00:00

Services affected: Backend / Private network

Device: BAS03.SR05.DAL01

Location: Dallas, TX

Duration: 1 hour

SoftLayer Engineers will be replacing the upstream
back end aggregate switch that provides connectivity
to the rack level switch to which your server is connected.

During this maintenance, customers will not have
access to backend services (DNS resolution, update servers,
NAS, iSCSI, VPN access, IMPI access, backup servers,
backend communications, etc). While the maintenance window
is set for 1 hour, we expect no longer than 20-30 minutes of downtime.

Scheduled server maintenance on rambi.slamdot.com

April 8, 2009 during 2:00am - 4:00am CDT (GMT-5)

Tonight we will be taking rambi.slamdot.com offline for about 2 hours to install an additional 2 GB of RAM and upgrade the processor to a Quad Core CPU. This should improve the overall performance of the server.

Scheduled datacenter maintenance

Maintenance ID: 3953

Date: 03/28/2009

Start time (CDT): 03:00:00

End time (CDT): 05:00:00

Services affected: Backend/Private network

Location: Dallas, TX (DAL01)

Duration: 2 hours

Description: SoftLayer Engineers will be upgrading the IOS and rebooting the backend/private network routers across the Dallas network on March 28th 2009 starting at 3:00am CDT.

Customer Impact: Periodically during this maintenance, customers will not have access to backend/private services (DNS, updates, NAS, iSCSI, etc) as well as server to server communications on the Dallas backend network. Connectivity from remote cities to Dallas servers and services will also be affected. While the maintenance window is set for 2 hours, we expect no longer than 15 - 20 minutes of downtime. Customers are advised to disconnect any NAS and/or iSCSI mounts during this maintenance as a sudden loss in connectivity could potentially cause file system corruption and/or loss of data.

Upgrading to PHP 5.2.9 on rambi and expresso.

Upgrading to PHP 5.2.9 on rambi and expresso.
